Job Description
Position Title: Mental Health Tech
Reports To: Program Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Funding Source: Medicaid, Clinic/Rehab
Nature of Work: Position responsible for direct, basic and supportive care to clients within the Crisis Stab program. Provides crisis intervention, training, health monitoring, personal care and transportation. Provides direct individual and group supportive therapy services This position will provide oversight and intervention to consumers experiencing major behavioral health crisis and disruption in functioning.
Responsibilities:
1. Documents activities and services in a complete accurate and timely manner according to DHHR licensing regulations and Westbrook policy.
2. Monitors clients to ensure their safety by observing health and vital signs, client functional and dysfunctional behavior according to individual program plan.
3. Maintains facility to ensure sanitary conditions.
4. Transports clients to activities, services, appointments and general community.
5. Monitors general health conditions of clients performing basic medical treatments.
6. Cooks for clients and maintain sanitary kitchen conditions. Performs general housekeeping duties.
7. Conduct breathalyzer and urine screens according to the CSU’s policies and procedures.
8. Conduct pre-admission screenings for severely involved behavioral health clients.
9. Provide group and individual supportive therapy services.
10. Provide bed-finding responsibilities for mental hygiene placements for the eight (8) county catchment area.
11. Maintains Medical Records for Program.
12. Conducts daily and/or monthly quality assurance of hart to assure compliance with APS regulations, licensure and agency procedures.
13. Maintain a level of attendance consistent with Westbrook Health Services policy.
14. Work with staff, clients and others in a professional, ethical and respectful manner.
15. Works to ensure a safe environment for staff, consumers and associates by following Westbrook’s safety policies

1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Pass CIB check
3. Valid Drivers License
4. Current Auto Insurance
