Job Description
Position Title: Mental Health Tech II – Residential Services
Reports To: Program Director / Program Coordinator / Residential Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Funding Source: Medicaid, Clinic/Rehab
Nature of Work: Position responsible for direct, supportive care and oversight to clients within the Residential and Day Program Services. Provides supportive, educational, and crisis intervention services to Group Home and Supportive Housing consumers who have a significant mental illness and or co-occurring substance abuse problem. Services to include: Transportation, assistance with Activities of Daily Living, Crisis De-escalation, Social and Recreational Activities and on call responsibilities. Provides leadership in the overall operation of the service.
Responsibilities:
1. Serves as a member of the residential/day support services team attending all designated meeting.
2. Serves as House Manager insuring that supplies and maintenance concerns are addressed.
3. Provides direct care to consumers to include:
· Case management functions
· Crisis de-escalation
· Transportation
· Assistance with personal care and ADL’s when necessary
· Provides supportive encouragement to clients in both an individual and group format within scope of training and competencies.
· Implements community based training programs and activities.
· Facilitates social and recreational activities
· Administration of medication with completion of appropriate training
4. Documents all service activities including collateral contacts in a complete accurate and timely manner according to DHHR licensing regulations and Westbrook policy and maintains daily logs and records.
5. Implements Skill Acquisition and Behavior Management Programs conducting training as scheduled and recording data as training occurs.
6. Acts as job coach as needed.
7. Participates in on call schedule as member of team
8. Monitors clients safety needs, including physical, medical, behavioral and psychiatric.

9. Maintains facility to ensure sanitary conditions.
10. Assists with cooking laundry and other household functions necessary to maintain sanitary kitchen conditions and general up keep of the residence.
11. Maintain a level of attendance consistent with Westbrook Health Services policy.
12. Work with staff, clients and others in a professional, ethical and respectful manner.
13. Works to ensure a safe environment for staff, consumers and associates by following Westbrook’s safety policies
Minimum Requirements:
1. High School Diploma/GED
2. Previous experience working in a residential setting
3. Previous experience working with special populations
4. Pass CIB check
5. Valid Drivers License
6. Current Auto Insurance
Physical Requirements:
Sitting: 1 to 2 hours per 8 hour shift. Alternates frequently to walking and
Standing.
Standing: 6 hrs. Per 8 hour shift. Alternates frequently to walking and sitting
